Type Locality and Naming

The type section lies at the southwest of Tayuan, Tahe County, Heilongjiang. It was named by Li Qishan et al. in 1985, and formally cited in the Regional Geology of Heilongjiang Province in 1989.


Lithology and Thickness

Conglomerate to Siltstone. Composed of variegated sandy conglomerate, pebbly grit, metamorphic fine-grained sandstone, silty sericite slate, etc.; thickness >358.9 m.

Lower contact

Unconformable contact with the underlying Jiaobuleshihe Fm

Upper contact

Unknown; The top is unclear. Next higher regional unit is the Langdonggou Fm claystone

Found only in Tahe County
